Look inside the scape called sea
until the ocean owns your eyes;
search beneath the surface shine
until its depth dispels its lies.
Climb your stare upon each wave
until you see all shades of green;
swim your vision past itself
until your sight becomes the scene.

This is so beautiful! I am longing for the beach and am now going outside so to let my sight become the scene of beautiful winter into spring.

Thanks, Amy!
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your poetry paintings.
"Climb your stare upon each wave" That's what I wish I was doing today! But poetry is as good as the ocean, I think. Thanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI am not an ocean person, but this kind of looking and staring works on the high dry prairies of Eastern Colorado, too.
